Guidelines
Before any assistance is given, a writer, whether working freelance or
on assignment, must provide us with the following information:
Name(s)
of journalist and/or photographer.
Mailing address.
Telephone number, fax number,
e-mail, etc.
A brief biographical sketch.
Tear sheets
not more than two-years-old.
Two editorial references
(name, publications, phone numbers).
The CCVCB will only provide complimentary
rooms, meals and entrance fees for approved writers.
Please note that any costs incurred by family members and/or friends
traveling with a writer will be paid for by the writer.
Writers must give the bureau at
least two weeks notice before their arrival
(unless special circumstances arise, with CCVCB approval). We will make
every effort to provide a writer with the necessary information and materials,
within reason, to complete a story. Tear
sheets on any subsequent stories on the Cajun Coast are to be provided
to the CCVCB in a timely manner.
Assistance We Offer
Itinerary
An itinerary, if desired, will be developed
to accommodate the writer's specific needs. The itinerary can include
accommodations, meals, attractions and interviews.
Ground Transportation
During the writer's stay on the Cajun Coast, ground transportation may
be provided by a bureau staff member.
Guide Services
The CCVCB can provide a knowledgeable guide to assist the writer in maneuvering
around the area.

The bureau maintains color slides and digital images for loan should the
writer need pictures to accompany a story. More
