Get Your Fish On!

Get Your Fish On! Citizen Science Fish Survey at the Bayou Tech National Wildlife Refuge Scooter Pond, Franklin at 8 a.m. – Noon.  Bring fishing gear to Scooter Pond & Geaux Fishing, they provide bait, but you can bring your own. They count, identify, Measure fish, & collect more data than you can keep your fish. There will also be biologists & fishing mentors. You can bring coolers, sunscreen, folding chair, & hat; Water and porta-pottie will be available. How to get there:  From Centerville, take Hwy 317 S, to Alice C Road and turn right.  Trael approximately 2 miles to Steven R. Road, look for kiosk on left.  Scooter Pond is at the end of Steven R Road.  From Franklin, turn onto the frontage road at the Foster Bailey boart rampl follow the Hwy 90 frontage road East to Alice C Road.  Turn right onto Alice C Road, and turn right on first gravel road.  Look for the kiosk.  Scooter Pond is at the end of the gravel road.
